Just as it is important to build a great app…it is also important to have a great marketing plan in place to promote it. A good mobile app marketing plan will:
1. Go where your users are. Don’t assume that your attendees or exhibitors are looking for it. You need to know where they are and be visible there. Get the word out via email, website, social networks, signage, etc. too.
2. Help people easily find your app. Just saying you have an app is not enough. Make it easy for people to find it by providing them links, URL’s, QR Codes, and searchable terms.
3. Communicate the benefit. In order to entice your audience to use your app, consider what problem you are solving and build a tag line around it. Example: If your app has a personal planning/itinerary feature, you might say: “Put your plan in the palm of your hand.”
