More than 18,000 food professionals from around the world attended the 2012 IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo in Las Vegas last week. On March 8, 2012, a2z and IFT launched the ChirpE attendee acquisition widget (AAW) for the companies exhibiting at the event. The plug-and-play widget enabled the exhibitors to promote their event participation to thousands of online visitors with minimal investment as the widget was made available to exhibitors free of charge by IFT.
The widget was completely pre-configured, and did not require the exhibitors to have any designing or coding skills to post it on their websites. This created a win-win situation for all parties involved. The widget received more than 315K views, and proved to be an excellent promotional tool for the event. Exhibitors were able to engage their website visitors and build their pre-show leads. Last but not the least, the widget enabled attendees to add exhibitors to their personalized plans, visit the event website and register for the event – all in a matter of a few minutes.
