It was almost a week ago that parts of the Midwest and East Coast were devastated by the derecho storm. Most of the a2z team is back up from the power outages, but many folks in the DC/MD/VA region are still without power and the temperatures have been blazing. I started thinking about the people who I am grateful to for getting me through the power outage. Like the people — from near and far — who work to restore the power lines (and air conditioning). Or the police officers who direct traffic in intersections without working traffic signals. Or the kind neighbors who help each other out.
