I might be an early adopter, but in my opinion, society as a whole has overcome the fear of online shopping. I purchase nearly everything online from shoes to jeans to jewelry. I am amazed that I can go in my refrigerator, scan the barcode of my favorite yogurt, add it to my shopping cart and have it delivered the next morning.
Are you selling your exhibit floor online yet? If so, congratulations, but you are part of the minority. The tradeshow industry is way behind the curve in the ecommerce world. Allowing your exhibitors to purchase their exhibit space online expedites your revenue flow, removes the “I’ll get to that later” mentality and shows that you are cutting edge in the industry. If you aren’t already selling exhibit space online, you should give it a second thought.
a2z’s highly customizable online exhibit sales module, that will be released in Version 12 (September 2012), allows you, the show manager, to define your business processes and automate them in an online workflow. And don’t worry, we understand you might still want to do consultative selling, but enable your exhibitors to pay for their booth online with virtually no paper involved in the process. a2z works with hundreds of shows so we understand that everyone is different. Talk to your project manager if you’re willing to take your tradeshow into the world of ecommerce. You could soon forget what a filing cabinet even looks like.
