We have just returned from National Restaurant Association’s, The Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show (NRA Show 2013), where we met thousands of friendly attendees who provided 1700+ ‘photomonials’ to share their love and enthusiasm for the event.
The photo booths, powered and sponsored by Pixe LLC (a2z’s sister company), were set up in three prominent locations on the exhibit floor. Attendees stopped by to have some fun with props, snap their pictures and type creative testimonials before sharing these online. They loved the idea of having a digital record of the memorable time they had at this fun and engaging event, especially when it included an opportunity to have their photo taken with their favorite celebrity chefs!
All the photos were posted with the show’s hashtag to NRA Show’s Facebook as well as on a number of other leading social media sites including Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, in real-time. A vast majority of attendees also opted to have a copy of their digital photo emailed to them.
NRA saw a multi-fold increase in the event’s social media reach during NRA Show as a result of the extensive viral activity generated by the photo booth users and their social friends.
Pixe donated $2 for every photo taken at the NRA Social Photo Booths to support the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, which trains and develops professionals to be future leaders in the industry.
In addition, Pixe gave away four free (4) iPad Mini devices to lucky raffle winners. The first fifty (50) attendees to the booths were given $5 Starbucks gift cards as a gesture of appreciation.
Pixe LLC also had an exhibit booth at the event and showcased the Pixe Social solution for businesses in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
