This week we would like to congratulate American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) on their recent event, ACEP Scientific Assembly 2013. For the first time this year the event organizers deployed the Attendee Acquisition Widget allowing their exhibitors to easily promote the event to their website visitors. ACEP exhibitors were quick to adopt this new widget with over 17% of their exhibitors placing the widget on their websites. Much like an interactive web ad for ACEP Scientific Assembly 2013 (only more powerful in the features it provides), this plug-and-play widget garnered a total of 188,015 views of the Attendee Acquisition Widget across exhibitors’ websites. Visitors to exhibitors’ websites were not only reminded about the event, but could also add the exhibitor as a favorite to their personal expo plan without leaving their website, as well as visit the event website and register for the event.
Widgets are designed so that non-developers can easily add them to their website without requiring any coding. While ACEP’s exhibitors were very keen on the widget, sometimes it can take exhibitors a show cycle or two to open their minds to the power of the widget. A widget is like wine, it often gets better with time. Educating your exhibitors on the ease of use and also the potential ROI that can be easily and quickly gained from the widget can help your exhibitors to overcome the fear of the unknown. This tutorial video offers a concise overview of how the widget works on an exhibitor’s website.
