We shouldn’t limit the value of push notifications to updating event participants in real-time about schedule changes, show specials, etc. Yes, this is a valuable tool, but not the full picture of the power of push notifications.
A recent study conducted by marketingprofs.com focused on how and if push notifications boost mobile app engagement. The findings very strongly point towards push notifications being a powerful asset for increasing mobile app user engagement and extending the life of an app. A couple of stats that stood out:
- 21% of push-disabled apps are only used once, compared with 11% of push-enabled apps.
- 53% of users who have enabled push-messaging come back to an app at least 11 times on average.
Push notifications are particularly something to keep in mind for our ChirpE 365 clients. When new syndicated content, press releases, or event apps are added to your 365 app be sure to let your audience know about this new content with a push notification. Remind them about the valuable industry tool that is resting in the palm of their hand.
