Last November, the International Association of Amusement Parks Association (IAAPA) took to the halls of the Orange County Convention Center to create a theme park of their own: The International Attractions Expo. Thousands of attractions & amusement professionals gather at this massive event for nearly a week to learn about the latest innovations and trends from industry professionals. This event was the third event of the year for IAAPA, with two previous expos taking place in Asia and Europe.
In order to create a more streamlined experience for its event participants, IAAPA provided a 365 mobile app solution. Powered by ChirpE, the IAAPA Expos mobile app provided users with access to all IAAPA events, negating the need to download a different app for each expo. Users could also network with other industry professionals year-round with the app’s social media tools.
The 2014 International Attractions Expo event mobile app was available to attendees through the IAAPA Expos mobile app, and provided easy access to complete event information, as well as powerful planning tools. Over 6,500 participants downloaded the mobile app during the course of the International Attractions Expo. The app was widely utilized as a planning tool, with nearly 100,000 combined views to eBooth details and session details. The IAAPA Expos mobile app helped to greatly increase attendee productivity.
IAAPA also provided exhibitors at the International Attractions Expo with the eBooth promotion widget – a website tool designed to engage attendees and increase exhibitor ROI. Powered by ChirpE, this tool enabled exhibitors to increase exposure of their eBooth by placing it on their website. Registered event attendees were able to view the company’s location on the International Attractions Expo show floor and add the exhibitor to their individual expo plan. Exhibitors with the widget received a combined 561,694 views and were added to 283 expo plans, increasing the likelihood of follow-ups on the show floor.
