InformEx is the home of chemistry innovation. This dynamic event has been held for more than 30 years to build partnerships among buyers and sellers of fine and specialty chemicals. The three-day event fosters profitable partnerships and innovation in the high-value chemical industry.
To support the valuable partnership development that is such a cornerstone of this event, the show organizers added a2z’s Connect™ to the event’s offerings this year. Connect is a cloud-based networking solution that facilitates matching exhibitors and attendees with like-minded interests and then gives them the tools to interact prior to the start of the event.
Exhibitors used Connect to search for attendees based on their demographics and product interests. Then exhibitors could request appointments with attendees or send them a direct email using the online networking tool. Exhibitors used their interactive eBooths to showcase their products, videos, and recent news releases in order to educate attendees about their company. Exhibitors’ eBooths were visited more than 98,000 times leading up to and during InformEx. This traffic resulted in an average of ten pre-show leads for exhibitors.
Attendees logged in to Connect to build their personal event plan including a list of must-see exhibitors and products and a complete appointment calendar for the three days of the event. Attendees sent a total of 1,451 emails to exhibitors and a total of 726 on-site appointments were requested between exhibitors and attendees. The new online networking and planning tools saved attendees time and allowed them to have a highly productive visit to InformEx.
