- First Touch
Attendees peruse the event website in advance of the start of the event to plan their schedule while at the event. This should be your first touch with the attendee. How? Your eBooth profile! Start by completing the obvious information-company address, website, contact info. Then take just two minutes more and add product categories, descriptions and images.
Those two minutes of your time just ensured that when an attendee searches by a product category or keyword, which is in your profile, that your company is listed in the search results.
Do you have two more minutes? Yes, now add a video or recent press release to your profile. When an attendee clicks on your name in the exhibitor list or floor plan they will be presented with a complete company profile that includes engaging content. This engaging content will help them to remember YOU or your products among the sea of other exhibitors on the expo floor.
Look what you just accomplished in less than 10 minutes!
Your eBooth is now complete and you want to show it off! You can share your eBooth in your pre-event emails and social media posts by sharing the url that is shown when you visit your eBooth.
Now is also the time to consider taking advantage of any online promotional opportunities offered to you by the event organizers. Often you can upgrade your eBooth so that you can showcase more products, videos, press release and show specials. In addition, these upgrades highlight your eBooth on the floor plan and exhibitor list, giving you significant exposure.
Speaking of show specials, you can use a show special to your promotional advantage. Not only do show specials (ie: free trials, discounts, prizes, contests) attract attendees to your booth, but you can use this hook for promoting your eBooth and encourage attendees to visit your eBooth for the details and therefore increase your pre-show leads.
After attendees have visited your eBooth they can take two actions: 1. Add your company to their favorites list, and 2. Send you an email. Either way you now have a list of attendees that are genuinely interested in your products and services. Reach out to them before the hustle and bustle of the event and schedule an onsite meeting with them.
The event is over and your booth was packed the whole time, hooray! Use the list of contacts gathered from your eBooth promotions to ensure you don’t miss anyone in your post show follow-ups.
