a2z has been a proud member of #expochat for quite some time now. We tweet as @a2zUserGroup, but depending on the topic, individual a2z team members also participate. For example, I tweet as @MDevamanoharan.
#expochat is a twitter conversation that was created to bring everyone in the trade show community on Twitter together to discuss anything and everything relating to trade shows. It’s moderated by Traci Browne (@tracibrowne), Dana Freker Doody (@theexpogroup), and Stephanie Selesnick (@stephselesnick), but sometimes they bring in guest moderators to change things up. Yesterday’s moderator was Marlys Arnold (@ImageSpecialist ) and the topic was Multisensory Experiences On the Trade Show Floor.
#expochat also has its own blog with more information on the chat and the moderators, how to participate, and the topic of the week. It even gives you questions to think about so you can have a better idea of what you want to say ahead of time.
If you are already a member of #expochat, then you know it is a valuable resource for people in the trade show industry. If you aren’t already a member of #expochat, I definitely recommend trying it out. Why, you ask?
- Great place to share your experiences, gather new ideas, and get helpful tips and advice
- Gives you the opportunity to spend an hour on Twitter learning about the industry and working, while also having fun. Who doesn’t like having fun at work?
- Always leave #expochat with at least one interesting thing to tell your colleagues
If you’re thinking about participating, go to the #expochat blog, look at the topic, and if it peaks your interest, join us. I was hesitant at first, but all the #expochat members are very friendly and welcoming. It must be an industry thing or something…
