1. Growing numbers
According to Instagram, it currently has 90 million monthly active users who take 40 million photos per day resulting in 8500 ‘likes’ per second and 1000 comments per second.
2. It’s all about mobile
Though Instagram released a web feed earlier this month, it is primarily a mobile-based service. Instagram passed Twitter in daily active users on mobile in August last year, according to comScore data provided to Mashable. Instagram had 7.3 million daily mobile users for the month, while Twitter had 6.9 million.
3. Look who is already there
According to a new report by Simply Measured, among the Interbrand Top 100 brands (such as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and Microsoft), nearly 6 in 10 (59%) now use Instagram, up 9% from the 54% that did so in November 2012.
