From gesture controlled gaming interfaces to phones that can track a user’s eye movement to software that is controlled just with brain waves, these technologies have already moved beyond the prototype phase. Samsung’s next big smartphone, Galaxy S IV, will track a user’s eyes to determine where to scroll. Touchless interfaces will become more ubiquitous in the coming months.
Additive three dimensional printing is just beginning to be adopted by non-commercial consumers. Technology experts are predicting that we will soon be able to affordably print anything from keys to auto parts in the not too distant future. Interestingly enough, NASA engineers are currently building the largest rocket ever constructed using 3D-printed materials.
We have all heard about the soon to be released ‘Google Glass‘ which will enable the user to interact with the objects around them using the computer built into the glasses. Computers will be integrated into many more materials and accessories that we wear, replacing the devices that we carry around in our hands and pockets.

Major social media platforms will collect and use multi-dimensional user data to provide a targeted, personalized experience to people. Engaging content will be more in demand than ever, and online social services will strive to provide environments in which users can enhance their knowledge and brands can expand their sphere of influence.
