We often come across little nuggets of goodness when browsing through our client’s websites and some are so simply good that they have to be shared.
I was recently on one of our client’s websites, www.AAPEXshow.com, and I was impressed with their use of clean and simple news alerts, aka: reminders, to their exhibitors. And best of all the information was right on the main page! It was not hidden under an exhibitor tab. The information was not presented in a flashy way, but the most important information was simply placed front and center.
The news alerts are kept simple and succinct so that exhibitors can quickly read down the list and gather the most important information at the time. The show managers have used this space exceptionally well to remind exhibitors about the free promotion tools that are available to them including the eBooth Profile and eBooth Promotion Widget—both of which help exhibitors to attract attendees to their online booth before the start of the show and can increase their ROI from the event.
In addition, on the sidebar they have posted a short and simple To-Do list with quick links to each item. This saves their exhibitors precious time and offers them valuable reminders about what they should be doing at that time to get the most out of the event. As the event draws nearer and the majority of the audience visiting the website turns to attendees, then show management can use this space to focus on attendee news alerts and reminders.
And last but not least, show management has added their Twitter feed to the sidebar. This allows exhibitors to quickly see what their competitors and colleagues are tweeting about around the show. From one web page exhibitors can get all of the latest news about the upcoming event.
