AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems 2013 conference utilized the ChirpE Attendee Acquisition Widget and the ChirpE Mobile Solution. The Attendee Acquisition Widget allowed exhibitors to promote their booths to their website visitors and gain pre-show leads. The Mobile Solution enabled attendees to have real-time access to the exhibitor list, interactive floor plan, session schedule, and networking tools while on the go.
The native AUVSI mobile app was downloaded by 1,691 iOS users and 508 Android users. In addition, 646 unique users accessed the ChirpE mobile web app making for a total of 2,845 users of the event app. The mobile app enhanced the attendee experience by allowing them to have constant access to exhibitor and session information as well as their personalized itineraries.
In addition to the successful adoption of the mobile app, AUVSI received ROI from the ChirpE Attendee Acquisition Widget. The widget is a free exhibitor tool that allows exhibitors to place a simple advertisement for their booth presence at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems 2013 on their websites without needing design or coding skills. The plug and play widget allows visitors to the exhibitors’ websites to tag the exhibitor as a favorite, view their eBooth, and register for the event—all without leaving the exhibitor’s website. 14.5% of AUVSI’s exhibitors implemented the widget and the widget was viewed 115K times. AUVSI received 358 clicks to the event website, 128 exhibitors were added to attendees expo plans as favorites, and there were 141 clicks to the registration site. The traffic to the event website and interaction with the exhibitors added measurable value to the event and required little investment in time and money.
