Do you use the push notification feature (Buzz) in a2z’s event and 365 mobile apps? If so, how are you using it? Here are some best practices to keep in mind:
- Send messages to remind attendees of significant events
- Use times rather than “in 15 minutes” because you aren’t sure when the attendee will look at their phone and see the notification
- Offer (or sell) Buzz opportunities to sponsors who want to drive traffic to their booth. e.g. “Ice cream social in booth 453 at 3:45 p.m. courtesy of BMW – Drivers wanted”
- Schedule the Buzz messages prior to the event so you don’t have to worry about doing it while busy onsite
If you are using the ChirpE 365 app (the solution allows you to build your audience by delivering new content such as event information and news feeds year round), you can send Buzz notifications to a selected event’s attendees, or to the parent app users, and of course to both. Users who have your organization’s ChirpE 365 app will get notifications for the parent app as well as any nested event apps they have visited in the past.
Buzz is a powerful feature to keep your attendees and membership abreast of important activities happening in your organization and at your show.
