Last month, more than 12,000 attendees headed to the sunshine state for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Annual Convention taking place in Orlando Florida. This is the premier event in the country for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, & hearing scientists. Attendees ranging from seasoned scientists to aspiring students gathered for three days of educational sessions, workshops, and networking.
As an added attraction this year, the ASHA foundation offered participants a fun way to share their convention experiences on social media through the use of the ChirpE-powered Social Photo Booth solution. Visitors were invited to stop by the ASHA Store’s booth on the exhibits floor and share a selfie shared instantly on the event’s official channels on leading social media sites.
A total of 427 photos were posted on ASHA’s Facebook Page over three days generating 552,275 impressions, and reaching 343,237 fans. The photos engaged 52,489 people who liked, commented, and shared the posts with friends. This impressive engagement helped promote the ASHA Facebook page which received over 1 million impressions from November 20–28, 2014.
